A Very Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve I had the pleasure of going to a christmas party with Tyson, at his grandma's house. The evening was full of good food, games and presents. I was planning on watching the Muppet Christmas Carol when I got home but it was kind of late and the VCR recently ate Marry Poppins, so I didn't want to risk it:)

Then it was Christmas Morn.......... I woke up to find that Santa had left me "The World Wide Ward Cookbook" some Reeses Peanut Butter cups and an Orange.  My mom and I then exchanged gifts, She was more excited about the Red White and Blue popcorn I gave her then the Doris Day, Rock Hudson movie collection I got her (which we ended up exchanging for Australia) She got me a new shirt the book "501 Must See Movies" and a book of my grandpa's history. (I also got a Camera from my Dad) We then enjoyed a delicious breakfast of Eggs Whatever Caserole and Snog (Soy Egg Nog)

By this Point it was only 9:00am so I figured I might as well take a nap before I called Tyson, (who told me Christmas wasn't until 11). Yet much to my surprise he had texted me and asked me if it was christmas time. So I got ready and Tyson came over for our much anticipated gift exchange.

Tyson walked in with this small weird box,

I must admit I wondered what in the world was in there.  He handed it to me and told me I had to figure out how to open it....... wow that took me awhile. As I was struggleing to open my box I let Tyson open his Christmas Spoils.

Now I must go back in time a ways and tell you a little story, for the past few weeks I thought Tyson had my Christmas present hidden under his bed. A couple times I ran into his room and crawled down on the floor and pretended to peak under his bed to find the gift he was hiding.

So once I got the box open I found, some Hershey Chocolate Lipgloss, and a note.........

Then the Scavenger Hunt began!!!

A STRAIGHTENER!!!! Come to find out Breanna had no intention of going with me to Costco to get a Chi the whole time Tyson was researching and planning on getting me one. It is REALLY nice one too!

We visited with my family, went to Cameron's house to see what the kids got, and then to the Chillon to watch Andrew on his new scooter.

Then to the Fawcett's Tyson and I went. Much to my surprise Santa left me a stocking there too! We ate a delicious dinner of Ham, Potatoes and Rolls.....YUMMY! And Opened some presents. I recieved a really cute magnet board, jacket, gift certificate to Pizza Factory and a nail kit.

Chirstmas was a fun filled exciting day!! I loved every  minute of it. Thank you to those who made my Christmas a trully special one.

................... But the fun wasn't over............. The day after christmas I got a package from my sister Ronda. It has some scrubing things, hot pink rubber gloves and this cute apron.

Thanks Ronda!!! and family :)

Hair

Well my straightener broke....................... About a week ago now. I have been functioning without a starightener for a week now. It is rather sad!!! My friend Breanna promised me we could get Chi's at Costco after christmas for cheap so I am trying to hang in there!  My hair is actually rather cooperative, but still I miss the smooth sleek look the straightener provides........... oh woe is me!

Mr T turns #27

November 30, 2009 was a Mr Tyson's Birthday! YAHOOO!!!!!!!!!

He and I celebrated on Saturday the 28th because I just wanted to give him his present SO bad!
We went to the Pizza Factory and ate a Never on Sundae (if you don't know what that is you seriously haven't lived! They take a mini deep dish pan and bake a cookie in the bottom, they immediately take the cookie out of the oven and top it with ice cream and caramel and chocolate and whip cream........ YUMMY! Go get one right now!)
After that I gave him his present!

He was so excited about his new Monopoly Deal Game! It is a really fun game and a million times faster than real monopoly!

And then the best part.......

It looked SO SO Handsome on him, I love buying clothes, even when they are not for me:)

Happy Birthday Tyson! May your 27th year be your best!!

Roundin Up the Thankfuls!

Oops... I forgot to write some thankfuls on Thanksgiving! So I will now take the time to do so:) I had an amazing Thanksgiving, the best I have had in awhile actually. Over the years I have spent Thanksgiving in quite a few random places, Diana's house, Amy's in-laws house, and this year I spent it at the Fawcett house! It was wonderful, the stuffing was great, the company was great (though I wish Aunt Petunia could have made it! ;) )
I have recently had the opportunity to trully give some thought to what I am grateful for, here are the big things.....
1) The gospel: It ain't easy, it's not even fun sometimes! but ya know what, it is the best thing out there. Prayer is a wonderful thing. Lately it seems like when I am about to loose it or just go crazy, offering a simple prayer whether it is outloud or in my heart gives me almost immediate, and priceless peace!
2) My brother and sisters: It is a great feeling knowing there are 4 people in the world that still love me though they have seen me at some pretty ugly times:)
3) Friends: I didn't realize it til just now but, had I not been blessed with such good friends through high school and into my young adult life I would be a completely different person! Who in the world knows who I would be today had I not been blessed with good righteous people as friends!
4) Finally (and most importantly) My Best Friend, no one has EVER been so patient with me, so understanding, motivating and so caring towards me. I won't name names so as not to embarass anyone and I won't go into much more detail. But I will say, I am Most Grateful for you! <3

Another Round of Thankfuls

11/19/09: *Well.... I am not going to lie, I was certain I wouldn't be able to find a SINGLE thing to be grateful/thankful for today, and I almost abandoned my whole Thursday Thankfuls project when....
Tyson gave me some lovely Mini Pink Roses, and the movie "UP"
11/18/10: *Pancakes for dinner are a nice thing to be thankful for! Especially because we only get to have them every once and a while.
11/17/10: *The main thing I am thankful for today is........ A comfy bed, warm blankets, warm PJ's and 6 pillows. hmmmmm I love my Bed!
11/16/09: *Once again my 13 year old nephew is making the Thankful list! Today I borrowed him so he could run my books into the library for me. He is a good kid!
11/15/09:  *Fun Family Time! Today Tyson and I made dinner and then played a round of "Trivia For Dummies" with my cousin James.
11/14/09: *I am again thankful for CHIRSTMAS TIME!  My cute ornaments from the Oriental Trading Company came today. They are cute little wooden guitars. HOORAY for Christmas:)
11/13/09 *A wonderous mirarcle happened today, one I am indeed grateful for! Tyson went to Old Navy, the Orem Mall, AND Joanne's Fabrics with me! It was so much fun! He was such a good shopping sport today :)

Some more Thankful Things......

11/12/09: *Eggnog Taffey, my little ray of sunshine in a seemingless endless day.
11/11/09: * Well I don't think there is anything more appropriate to be thankful for today then the men willing to risk their lifes and fight for our Countries Freedoms! Happy Veterans Day *I am also thankful for, fun shopping trips with my mom, and  $10 shoes!
11/10/09: *Christmas Time!!! Believe it or not I am feeling rather Christmas spirtitee this year. I have even aready listened to a couple of christmas songs on FM 100. I guess going to see the 'Christmas Carol' was a good idea!
11/09/09: *Today I had to write a paper for Interior Design, I got so stressed about it I was in tears (cause I put it off until the night before.... hehe) Anyway, not only am I thankful I am done with the paper, Tyson helped me proof read it late at night so I wouldn't have to worry about waking up early the next day! It was really nice of him to be so helpful and encouraging!
11/08/09: *I am grateful that I have everything I need and then some! I am very blessed! (watchin little house on the pairie will sure make you realize how lucky you really are)
11/07/09: *I got out of working this fine Saturday! Saturdays off YAHOO :)
11/06/09: *Fun dates! (Tyson and I went to see The Christmas Carol in 3D Digital IMax, the ultimate 3D experience! On our way there we had to stop and get so Wendy's cause we were short on time. It was so much fun!!)

Halloween Night!

Halloween  night pretty much went like this.........

1) Tyson and I hung out at my parents house 2) Amy and Alan brought over Snow White, Happy and Sleepy. 3) We watched the Utes blackout game on TV. (just watched, it was on mute but Tyson was pretty lucky my mom even let it be on:) ) 4) I watched my mom answer the door, She absolutely loved it! She had on her spiderweb curves shirt and her spider web cape and she was just having a great time answering the door and seeing all the costumes, I even offered to get the door a couple times but she was too excited and beat me there! 5) A lady in the ward tripped on our walk-way. 6) Cameron and Amy brought over 2 cheerleaders and Tinkerbell. Ethan was too cool to come this year...... I guess he has just reached that age where he rather be with his friends! :( haha 7) Tyson and I went over to his friend Dave's parents house to see their Halloween decorations. It was actually pretty cool, they had a band of skeletons set up in the garage and a whole bunch of tombstones in the front yard. I must admit I didn't like the tombstone that read.... "Snow White..... never got kissed" 8) We went and ate our weight in cookies and cakes and candies and brownies and ice cream, Well mostly just so delicious cream cheese Brownie Bites and Berry Cheesecake ice-cream, YUM!!!!!! 9) Then we watched a good ol' Alfred Hitchcock film entitled "Shadow of a Doubt" it was pretty good, funny, but a little bit to long!

That pretty much wraps up all the fun I had on Halloween, I couldn't have asked for anything more. WELL..............
I really wish I could have convinced Tyson to be a "Twi-Tard" with me for Halloween.... don't let that picture fool you he refused to put that shirt on....... HAHAHA

Halloween Fun!

Twas the night before Halloween.... and Tyson made me go to a haunted forest at Hee-Haw Farms!! Muah HAHAHAHA so I was extremely nervous about this! I kept trying to talk him out of it, but let's be honest I wanted him to make me go..... and he did!
Once we got there we  took a mini hay ride down to the little forest place you walk through! As we waited in the line there was this poor little handicapped boy all alone in the cold, waiting for his parents to go through the hauntings. I think this girl was supposed to be watching him but the poor little thing woke up and started crying and people just ignored him! That was probably the most upsetting thing there.

Anyways it was time to walk through the "Cornevil Night Terrors!" For those of you who don't know I am a really jumpy person, it doesn't take much to get me to scream. So pretty much the whole time I was clinging to Tyson's jacket screaming and laughing and screaming and laughing! There was one kid who just walked towards us creepily and I was like oh he isn't going to say anything, he looked and walked straight at Tyson and then when he was 2 inches in front of us he yelled in my face! I screamed! There was another young man with a creepy mask on that wouldn't get out of my face and he kept saying "I asked you a question are you willing to give your life" That didn't scare me it was just annoying. It was a pretty cool set up they had there because you walked through a little bit of corn, then this forest like area, then these little house scenes they set up, and then the black light room with the spinning cylinder around the walk-way that makes you feel like you are drunk and the floor it moving! It was a good time though I have to admit, though all that Screaming and laughing and screaming sure made me sleepy!

PUNKIN PALOOZA

It is time once again for the
Spotten Family Pumpkin Carving Festival 2009!

As you are about to see pumpkin carving at our house is not a simple jack-o-latern affair..........

Cameron's two little girls each wanted a tinkerbell, Ethan made a Skull Thing, Meg a Wolf Man. And Alan carved his kids a Jasmine and a Dinosaur!

Tyson and I carved a trick or treat-er at a monsters house!
Man you should have seen the team work, We had 2 knifes in the pumpkin at the same time! That takes some mad skills I tell you! We finished the pumpkin with all of our fingers intact.
I must admit he did most of the pumpkin cleaning out,and fine details for which I am grateful!

*Those that were not able to attend this year were greatly missed! Happy Carving :)

Brown Boot Victory!!!

It all began when I found the most wonderful boots on-line at Nordstroms. They were delightful I tell you! I went to try them on in the store and the fit just wasn't right, Not to mention they cost $220 there was no way I could justify that. Simply trying them on gave me all of the woeful feelings of shoppers remorse! Utimately they just didn't sing to me.......
So the hunt continued to find me a pair of brown boots! I constantly looked online went and hunted in stores! It seemed as though the perfect pair of brown boots and I would NEVER meet. My boyfriend could hardly believe I had a pair of black boots, and NOT a pair of brown boots in my wardrobe, that is when I had to get serious!
Then it happened, after weeks of searching I found something I liked online at Sears! I called over to make sure they had my size, skipped lunch drove to the mall after work on my way to school, and they sang...... The Boots sang to me! Good things do happen to those that wait! And the best part..............................They were only 1/5 of the cost of the ones I origanlly wanted!

Snow Patrol Concert

So on Saturday Oct. 10th 2009 Tyson and I got to go see Snow Patrol (and The Plain White T's) at the Mckay Events Center. We got our tickets for free from a lady Tyson's mom works with who bought the tickets and wasn't able to go (Muchos Gracias to her!!!!) So the adventure began when we had to come up with $3 for parking, of course neither one of us had cash, so Tyson handed me a huge handful of change and told me to start counting. (mind you he didn't have any quarters!) after I counted out a dollar I handed to the girl so we could count out 2 more dollars, She said it was ok and let us park for $1 :) After we parked the car we had to walk trough security, I had a GIGANITC purse and I knew they were going to search it! The Security guard started looking through my purse and asked me if I had any food or drink....... knowing I had put in a granola bar in, in case I got hungry I told him "I am pretty sure there is a granola bar in there." He said  "a granola bar ?!?!?! well you better not eat in here!" (he was being sarcastic, it was funny!)

Then we found our seats and the concert began! It was SO SO SO SO SO good I loved it! The Plain White T's lead singer was sick, but oh well! (they sang just enough songs, and I managed to live through "hey there delilah" It's not such a bad song:) )  Then the Wonderful IRISH Snow Patrol band did an AWESOME job! I seriously had a ton of fun! They played my favorite song "Make This Go on Forever" so I was completely satisfied!

Another great thing about the concert was listening to Gary (the lead singer) just talk, yes just talk in his handsome Irish accent, His Irish singing voice wasn't too bad either;)
Yahoo for a free concert.... well I guess it cost us a dollar.
My only regret: I should have bought the T-shirt

Bloggin

I have always wanted to try blogging. It seems like a nice thing. I think it will be fun.......... I also think I am procrastinating my homework!!! :)
